Then Jesus turned to the Jews who had claimed to believe in Him. “If you stick with this, living out what I tell you, you are My DISCIPLES for sure. Then you will experience for yourselves the truth, and the truth will free you.” – John 8:31-32 Message Bible.

“At the time, DISCIPLINE isn’t much fun. It always feels like it’s going against the grain. LATER, OF COURSE, IT PAYS OFF BIG-TIME, for it’s the WELL-TRAINED who find themselves MATURE in their RELATIONSHIP with God.” – Hebrews 12:11 Message Bible.

“No DISCIPLINE is enjoyable while it is happening—it’s painful! But AFTERWARD there will be a PEACEFUL HARVEST of RIGHT LIVING for those who are TRAINED in this way.” – Hebrews 12:11 New Living Translation.

Usain Bolt ran for less than 115 seconds in total in his 3 Olympics Career and made $119 million dollars. He won 9 gold medals in his 3 Olympics, and he has run less than 2 minutes on the track. That’s the economy of effort.  That’s more than $1 million each second, he ran! That’s a new unit of speed for the “run” for money. But for this less than 2 minutes, he trained for more than twenty years! That is no mini-investment! That is discipline!

Yes, Usain Bolt’s success as a sprinter can be attributed in part to his discipline and hard work. Bolt was known for his rigorous training regime and dedication to his sport, which allowed him to become one of the greatest sprinters of all time.

Bolt’s success was not simply due to his natural talent or physical abilities, but also his mental toughness and willingness to make sacrifices in pursuit of his goals. He was known for his focus and determination, and he maintained a strict diet and training schedule to ensure that he was always in top physical condition.

Ultimately, Bolt’s success as a sprinter demonstrates the importance of discipline and hard work in achieving one’s goals, both in sports and in other areas of life.

By cultivating discipline, we can build healthy habits, develop new skills, and achieve greater success and fulfillment in our lives. We may also experience greater self-confidence, a sense of accomplishment, and a greater sense of purpose and meaning.

Of course, discipline is not always easy, and it often requires hard work, sacrifice, and perseverance. But the rewards that come with discipline are often well worth the effort, and can lead to a happier, more fulfilling life.

God`s inspired word says, “At the time, DISCIPLINE isn’t much fun. It always feels like it’s going against the grain. LATER, OF COURSE, IT PAYS OFF BIG-TIME, for it’s the WELL-TRAINED who find themselves MATURE in their RELATIONSHIP with God.” [Hebrews 12:11 Message Bible]. DISCIPLINE generally is not appealing because it lacks immediate gratification, but the end results are priceless for those who choose to embrace it!

American first president and revolutionary, George Washington said, “Discipline is the soul of an army. It makes small numbers formidable; procures success to the weak, and esteem to all” Nothing procures esteem to all like a life of discipline and the esteem it will bring to you as we see with Usain Bolt is far more than the price tag required!
