Exodus Into Better Things 3!
“ARISE and DEPART, for THIS IS NOT YOUR REST; because it is defiled, it shall destroy, Yes, with utter destruction.” – Micah 2:10 New King James Version.
“The RIGHTEOUS KEEP MOVING FORWARD, and those with clean hands BECOME STRONGER and STRONGER.” – Job 17:9 New Living Translation.
“…We are CONFIDENT that you are meant for BETTER THINGS, things that come with salvation.” – Hebrews 6:9 New Living Translation.
HELLO TREASURED FRIENDS and WELCOME into this week’s ATM (A Teaching Moment) Weekly in the precious name of our Lord Jesus. He was handed over to die because of our sins, and He was raised to life to make us right with God. [Romans 4:25 New Living Translation].
Forward ever and backward never is God’s plan for His children. Proverbs 4:18 Modern English Version says, “But the path of the just is as the shining light, that shines more and more unto the perfect day.” The Amplified Bible, Classic Edition put the same verse this way, “But the path of the [uncompromisingly] just and righteous is like the light of dawn, that shines more and more (brighter and clearer) until [it reaches its full strength and glory in] the perfect day [to be prepared].” That means no matter where you are now, it is not good enough for it is not your rest! The RIGHTEOUS has a COMMAND from the Lord to KEEP MOVING FORWARD [See Job 17:9 New Living Translation].
American Industrialist and Business Magnate, Henry Ford said, “No man is living who isn’t capable of doing more than he thinks he can do.” This thought is what propels Henry Ford to start the Ford Motor Company after becoming unsuccessful in his two previous companies. Even after successfully creating the Model A, which was only affordable to minorities, he was never satisfied as he envisioned making a car that would be affordable to every American family!
The vision that Ford envisioned for automobiles flourished under the Ford Motor Company. He wasn’t interested in just making another luxury automobile that only the rich and famous could afford. He wanted to sell an automobile that the everyday American could afford. As Ford puts it, “I will build a motor car for the great multitude.” This became a reality with the leveraging of the assembly line that makes massive production of cars for the great multitude.
Geoffrey Steven Gaberino is an American former competition swimmer, Olympic gold medalist, and former world record-holder. Gaberino was a member of two national championship college teams and a four-time college national champion in relay events. Here is what he said, “The REAL CONTEST is always between what you have done and what you are capable of doing.” Your past is never your potential because your potential is what you’re capable of. The real competition in life therefore is not between you and others but between what you have done and what you are capable of [your potential].
Only your Manufacturer [God] knows your limit and like a rubber band, you are most useful only when you are stretched. Author and Entrepreneur, Jim Rohn said, “The big challenge is to become all that you have the possibility of becoming. You cannot believe what it does to the human spirit to maximize your human potential and stretch yourself to the limit.” He also said, “Every life form seems to strive to its maximum except human beings. How tall will a tree grow? As tall as it possibly can. Human beings, on the other hand, have been given the dignity of choice.
You can choose to be all, or you can choose to be less. Why not stretch up to the full measure of the challenge and see what all you can do?” This is why when Joshua was over one hundred years old, God still said to him, “…You have grown old and are gone far in years, and very much of the land still remains to be possessed.” [see Joshua 13:1 Amplified Bible, Classic Edition].
As we venture into this great week which also transits into a new month, let us take the advice of Best-selling author, Steven Pressfield who said, “Don’t cheat the world of your contribution. Give it what you’ve got.”
As we venture into this great week which also transits into a new month, let us take the advice of Best-selling author, Steven Pressfield who said, “Don`t cheat the world of your contribution. Give it what you`ve got.” You will never know your full potential unless you push yourself to find it!
