HELLO TREASURED FRIENDS and WELCOME into this week`s ATM (A Teaching Moment) Weekly in the precious name of our Lord Jesus who always loves us and who set us free from our sins by pouring out His lifeblood for us. [Revelation 1:5 Living Bible].
I was born in the northern part of the nation of Nigeria, Africa`s most populous nation, a very great and prosperous nation that has been wrongly managed over the years by bad leadership and has become a shadow of what it used to be! Here is the good news: There is HOPE for DIVINE RESTORATION of Nigeria`s fortune [Psalm 126:1-6] like many other nations of the earth who have been impoverished and famished. There was a time in Nigeria when the nation`s Head of State at that time of OIL BOOM [General Yakubu Gowon] announced pathetically that the problem of the nation was not money but the lack of the KNOW-HOW of what to do with the money!
Now in Nigeria, there is a strong wave of immigration to the western nations of the earth because of the concern for the present and the future. This wave of immigration is so strong and has entered the national consciousness and conversation that they have even coined a snag for it known in a popular local dialect as “JAPA” to the extent that many talented, brilliant, and gifted professionals are risking their lives and future all in the quest of FINDING REFUGE IN OTHER NATIONS. Interestingly, there is a solution but unfortunately, the solution is not in any nation no matter how strong the economic strength. The solution is THE COVENANT, that is, TAKING [FINDING REFUGE] IN GOD ALONE! [see Jeremiah 17:5-8 and Psalm 146:3-10].
Famine [tough times, challenging times] is not new to the earth and if you study history, many great nations of the world have gone through economic recession and great depression but have come out of it stronger and better because tough times never last, only tough people do! This is what THE COVENANT [ACTIVE PARTNERSHIP] with God is all about because THE ONLY WISE GOD will give those who are in ACTIVE PARTNERSHIP with Him the WISDOM [KNOW HOW] on HOW TO THRIVE [FLOURISH DURING FAMINE] like He did to Isaac in Genesis 26:1-16 that made him mightier than a whole nation [see Genesis 26:16] who envied him [Genesis 26:14] and begged him to leave their nation: Abimelech said to Isaac, “Leave our country. You have become much more powerful than we are.” [Genesis 26:16 Easy-to-Read Version]
God`s Word has already said that FAMINE WILL INVADE THE NATIONS OF THE EARTH and there is nothing anyone on earth can do to stop this PROPHECY because you cannot pray against prophecy, you can only seek EXEMPTION! THE COVENANT is THE EXEMPTION PROVISION of GOD for the REDEEMED [those who have put their faith in the FINISHED WORKS of the Lord Jesus for their salvation] as it is written in Psalm 37:19, “WHEN calamity comes, they will escape with their dignity. WHEN FAMINE INVADES THE NATIONS, THEY WILL BE FED TO THEIR FILL.” [The Voice]. The Word of God did not say, “IF FAMINE INVADES THE NATIONS” but “WHEN,” therefore it is not a matter of IF but WHEN!
The good news for the REDEEMED of the Lord is that WHEN FAMINE INVADES THE NATIONS [please note that no nations of the earth are exempted], THEY [THE REDEEMED, THE JUST, THE UPRIGHT, THE RIGHTEOUS] WILL BE FED TO THEIR FILL! So, it is not about which nations of the earth you run to for refuge, it is about THE COVENANT [YOUR ACTIVE PARTNERSHIP WITH THE GOD OF THE WHOLE EARTH]. [To be concluded next week].
