Nothing is great until a life has been changed. The testimony of changed lives that we constantly receive is our motivation to continue this work with the help of the Holy Spirit for the past fourteen years since ATM [A Teaching Moment] Weekly started and praise God that we had help from God to this day! Our message is not about ourselves. It is about Jesus Christ as the Lord. We are your servants for His sake. [2 Corinthians 4:5 GODS WORD Translation].
Romans 12:2 Easy-to-Read Version says, “Don’t change yourselves to be like the people of this world but let God change you inside with a new way of thinking. Then you will be able to understand and accept what God wants for you. You will be able to know what is good and pleasing to him and what is perfect.”
To truly experience what God has in store for you as a child of God, renewing your mind daily with God’s Word is not an option. Renewing your mind is allowing God to change you inside with a new way of thinking in line with His holy written word. It is intentionally fixing your attention on what God says in His Word and allowing His word to change you from the inside out with the help of the Holy Spirit.
A man is a tripartite being like God. You are a spirit; you have a soul, and you live in a body. When you got saved, it was your spirit that got saved and became a new creation [see 2 Corinthians 5:17]. The soul [which comprises the will, emotion, and mind] and your body still remain in their original form and you have the ongoing responsibility to do something about them [your soul and body] to keep them in line with your new creation reality with the help of the Holy Spirit who now lives inside of your human spirit to help you as your ever-dependable Comforter (Counselor, Helper, Intercessor, Advocate, Strengthener, Standby).
James 1:21 New King James Version says, “Therefore lay aside all filthiness and overflow of wickedness, and receive with meekness the implanted word, which is able to save your souls.” It is the word of God that you receive with meekness and that you intentionally planted in your soul [will, emotion, and mind] that has the power to save your soul, and this happens through the daily intentional renewing of your mind with the word of God as you daily feed on it.
EVER-INCREASING GLORY becomes a reality only with a renewed mind because the carnal mind is enmity against God; for it is not subject to the law of God, nor indeed can be. [see Romans 8:7 New King James Version]. The carnal mind is the mind that thinks only of ways to please the sinful old self and it is fighting against God. It is not able to obey God’s Laws. It never can. To obey God, your mind must be constantly renewed to think in line with the Word of God.
Keep in mind that no one else can renew your mind for you. It is a non-transferable obligation. It is DIY [Do It Yourself]. You must do it yourself not in your own strength but with the help of the Holy Spirit, the HELPER who now lives inside of you, and greater is He [the Holy Spirit] that is in you that he [the devil] that is in the world! [see 1 Corinthians 3:16, 6:19 and 1 John 4:4].
Actor and comedian, Mark A. Cooper said, “Life has no remote. Get up and change it yourself.” Don’t watch your life go from good to bad with your hands folded. Rise up and accept the responsibility to daily renew your mind with the word of God and you are sure to experience God’s will for your life: EVER-INCREASING GLORY!
