“…I HAVE BETTER THINGS in MIND for you—SALVATION THINGS!” – Hebrews 6:9 Message Bible.
“Do not let your heart envy sinners [who live godless lives and have no hope of salvation], but [CONTINUE to] live in the [reverent, worshipful] fear of the Lord day by day. SURELY there is a FUTURE [and a REWARD], and your HOPE and EXPECTATION will not be cut off.” – Proverbs 23:17-18 Amplified Bible.
As we enter the second half of this great year, our focus is on BETTER THINGS. This theme is deeply rooted in the inspiration drawn from:
• Hebrews 6:9: “But, beloved, we are convinced of better things concerning you, and things that accompany salvation, though we are speaking in this way.”
• Ecclesiastes 7:8: “The end of a matter is better than its beginning, and patience is better than pride.”
• Proverbs 4:18: “The path of the righteous is like the morning sun, shining ever brighter till the full light of day.”
Expect Better Things NOW!
Expecting Better Things is essential to experiencing the BETTER THINGS God has in store for those who love Him, as written in 1 Corinthians 2:9. We must not only expect better things but EXPECT BETTER THINGS NOW because: “Our God is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to His power that is at work within us.” (Ephesians 3:20 NIV).
Unwavering Faith in God’s Promises
What if some do not believe or remain unfaithful? Their lack of belief does not nullify the faithfulness of God and His word:
“Certainly not! Let God be found true [as He will be], though every person be found a liar, just as it is written [in Scripture], ‘That You may be justified in Your words, And prevail when You are judged [by sinful men].'” (Romans 3:3-4 Amplified Bible).
Faithfulness of God: A Rock-Solid Assurance
Your faith in God is vital to receiving the BETTER THINGS He has in store for you: “If we are faithless, He remains faithful [true to His word and His righteous character], for He cannot deny Himself.” (2 Timothy 2:13 Amplified Bible). Remember, all things are possible for those who believe (Mark 9:23). Do not be afraid, only believe!
Moving Forward in Faith and Expectation
As we continue to journey through this year, let’s hold on to our faith and expect BETTER THINGS NOW. God’s promises are true, and His power is at work within us to bring about more than we can ask or imagine. Let’s move forward with confidence and joy, trusting in His unfailing faithfulness.
