“A successful team is a group of many hands and one mind.” – Bill Bethel.

Here is the continuation of this teaching series on doing life big with the DREAM acronym. In this week`s teaching, we will highlight the alphabet ‘E’ from the DREAM acronym which stands for, Embrace Teamwork.

E – Embrace Teamwork: The Synergy of Collective Effort
“Alone we can do so little; together we can do so much.” — Helen Keller

The essence of teamwork is a powerful force. Helen Keller’s words remind us that significant achievements are rarely solo endeavors. My journey has been profoundly shaped by the teams I’ve been a part of. As Dr. John Maxwell humorously puts it, “If you want to climb a little hill, you don’t need a team, just a pair of sneakers. But if you want to climb Mount Everest, you need a team because as the challenges escalate, teamwork will elevate.”

To realize my dream of global transformation, I built the LAMP Global Community. Since its inception, we have grown to twenty-one dedicated leaders with shared values and a positive attitude. Together, we’ve hosted Leadership Masterclasses and four virtual global conferences, impacting lives worldwide.

Surround Yourself with the Right Team: Collaboration and support from others amplify your efforts, bringing diverse perspectives and skills that enrich your journey. Embrace the power of teamwork to accomplish what you cannot achieve alone. Remember, there is no ‘I’ in ‘TEAM’ because TEAM means:

  • T – Together
  • E – Everyone
  • A – Achieves
  • M – More

American industrialist and philanthropist, Andrew Carnegie said, “Teamwork is the ability to work together toward a common vision. The ability to direct individual accomplishments toward organizational objectives. It is the fuel that allows common people to attain uncommon results.” You can’t DO LIFE BIG alone; you need the right team with the same theme!

Matthew Joseph Thaddeus Stepanek (July 17, 1990 – June 22, 2004), known as Mattie J.T. Stepanek, was an American poet (or, as he wanted to be remembered, “a poet, a peacemaker, and a philosopher who played”) who published seven best-selling books of poetry and peace essays. Before his death at the age of thirteen, he had become known as a peace advocate and motivational speaker. He said, “Unity is strength. . . when there is teamwork and collaboration, wonderful things can be achieved.” [To be continued next week].
