“The RIGHTEOUS KEEP MOVING FORWARD, and those with clean hands become stronger and stronger.” – Job 17:9 New Living Translation.
“Do not remember the things that have happened before. Do not think about the things of the past. See, I will do a new thing. It will begin happening now. Will you not know about it? I will even make a road in the wilderness, and rivers in the desert.” – Isaiah 43:18-19 New Life Version.
“GO AHEAD”: THE SOUND OF VICTORY
This week’s teaching opens with Ron Kenoly’s rousing song, “GO AHEAD.” The lyrics echo one powerful refrain:
“If you catch hell, don’t hold it. If you’re going through hell, don’t stop… Go ahead, go ahead, go ahead, don`t stop!”
Far from just a catchy tune, this is a spiritual charge—an invitation to keep advancing in life despite challenges. Inspired by God, the song reinforces the biblical command to Advance [Go Forward].
FAITH: THE FUEL FOR ADVANCE [FORWARD MOTION]
To Advance [Go Forward] requires more than positive thinking; it demands faith rooted in the living Word of God. As Scripture declares, “For we walk by faith, not by sight [living our lives in a manner consistent with our confident belief in God’s promises].” (2 Corinthians 5:7 AMP).
Life’s battles may be intense, but they are never decisive against the believer who stands in faith:
“For everyone born of God is victorious and overcomes the world, and this is the victory that has conquered and overcome the world—our [continuing, persistent] faith [in Jesus the Son of God].” (1 John 5:4 AMP).
NO EXEMPTIONS, ONLY GUARANTEES
Challenges come to all, including Christians. Yet, our covenant with God guarantees victory. We don’t waste time explaining why things aren’t working; we instead put God’s Word to work. The cross has already purchased our triumph—our part is to live that victory out by faith.
THE POWER TRIO: STUDY, MEDITATE, ACT ON GOD`S WORD!
To manifest the victory that is rightfully ours, we must engage with the Word of God in three crucial ways:
1. Study the Word
“Study to show yourself approved by God, a workman who need not be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.” (2 Timothy 2:15 MEV).
Studying is intentional. We commit ourselves to dig into Scripture, seeking revelation and truth.
2. Meditate on the Word
Just as food must be digested for nourishment, the Word must be meditated on to release its power.
“But his delight is in the law of the Lord, and in His law he meditates day and night.” (Psalm 1:2 NKJV).
Meditation involves thoughtful, prayerful reflection on the Word of God until the truth saturates our hearts.
3. Act on the Word
Putting faith into action is what unlocks the promises.
“But be doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves.” (James 1:22 NKJV).
Faith isn’t theoretical; it shows up in our words, decisions, and daily living.
FAITH IN ACTION: YOUR KEY TO ADVANCEMENT!
The Lord Jesus Himself said, “Everything is possible for one who believes.” (Mark 9:23 NIV).
To Advance [Go Forward] is to demonstrate our faith with corresponding actions. When God sees our faith in motion, He commits Himself to perform His Word. [To be concluded next week…]
