“But without faith it is impossible to [walk with God and] please Him, for whoever comes [near] to God must [necessarily] believe that God exists and that He rewards those who [earnestly and diligently] seek Him.” – Hebrews 11:6 Amplified Bible.
January 26, 2025 — a night the City of Philadelphia was in wild celebration because the Philadelphia Eagles had just qualified for the SUPER BOWL LIX. The Super Bowl is the annual league championship game of the National Football League (NFL) of the United States. The streets were alive, the traffic downtown was heavy, and excitement filled the air. But for me, the night took an unexpected turn.
CHALLENGES ARE REAL TO LIFE
Just 10 minutes from home, a female driver aggressively swerved into my lane, hitting my car and then… kept going, but to the glory of God no one was injured! I caught up with her to show her the damage and was about to call the police (to hold her responsible for the damage to my car and the payment for the repair with her insurance, according to the law) when, in the blink of an eye, she reversed into a one-way street and fled the scene.
At the police station, I filed an official report and contacted my insurance. Despite every effort — even checking nearby street cameras — I couldn’t track her down. The reality hit: I still had to pay $1,000 out of pocket for damage I didn’t cause.
A RESILIENT FAITH THAT REFUSES TO LET GO
That night, the whole incident replayed in my mind like a fast-forwarded movie. But the Word of God revealed to me at that moment as I fix my attention on God (see Psalm 34:5 and Isaiah 50:7) rose in my heart and my faith in that revealed word made the difference: “But thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ. Therefore, my beloved brethren, be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that your labor is not in vain in the Lord.” (1 Corinthians 15:57-58 NKJV). I chose to meditate on this truth. My focus shifted from the loss to expecting God’s supernatural intervention.
VICTORY IS THE BIRTHRIGHT OF THE REDEEMED!
When you are down to nothing, God is up to something. To be challenged does not make you unspiritual, but to be defeated is unscriptural! Before the end of that same week, a client who had delayed signing her contract for months suddenly reached out to me — sealing a six-month deal that became my financial turnaround. What seemed like a loss became A NEW BEGINNING! When we persist in faith, God will assist and respond with the help that we need to overcome the situation, for God always leads us in triumph in Christ. (2 Corinthians 2:14 NKJV).
FEAR SAYS… BUT FAITH SEES
In Genesis 42:36 Amplified Bible, Jacob cried out in fear: “All these things are [working] against me.” But was that the truth? No. Fear distorts reality. Faith sees the bigger picture — God’s plan. Romans 8:28 Amplified Bible assures us: “And we know [with great confidence] that God [who is deeply concerned about us] causes all things to work together [as a plan] for good for those who love God, to those who are called according to His plan and purpose.”
FROM FEAR TO FAITH!
When Jacob moved from fear to faith by allowing Benjamin to go with his brothers (Genesis 43–45), everything shifted. He didn’t just get Benjamin and Simeon back — he was reunited with Joseph, the son he thought was gone forever. And Joseph, now the second most powerful man in Egypt, brought Jacob to live his final seventeen years in bliss and prosperity.
A NEW BEGINNING IS IMPOSSIBLE WITHOUT FAITH IN GOD
Faith in God is the bridge from loss to restoration, from despair to hope, from trials to triumphs, and from endings to new beginnings. God`s Word says, “For we can do nothing against the truth, but for the truth.” (2 Corinthians 13:8 NKJV).
Beloved, A NEW BEGINNING is impossible without FAITH IN GOD. Therefore, the answer to every challenge of life is HAVE FAITH IN GOD (Mark 11:22) for with God, nothing shall be impossible! (Luke 1:37). [To be continued next week].
Love you all. Have a blessed week!
