“LET US HOLD FAST THE PROFESSION of OUR FAITH without wavering; (for He is faithful that promised;).” – Hebrews 10:23 King James Version.

Faith begins when the will of God is known (revealed to you), as evident in Matthew 14:28-29 NKJV, And Peter answered Him and said, ‘Lord, if it is You, command me to come to You on the water. So, He said, “Come.” And when Peter had come down out of the boat, he walked on the water to go to Jesus.” Romans 10:17 NIV also affirms that, “Consequently, faith comes from hearing the message, and the message is heard through the word about Christ.”

Faith ends at the manifestation (the realization of what is promised in God`s Word) as evident by Hebrews 6:15 AMPC, “And so it was that he [Abraham], having waited long and endured patiently, realized and obtained [in the birth of Isaac as a pledge of what was to come] what God had promised him.”

1 Peter 1:9 also affirms that faith has an outcome, and that outcome is victory (that is, obtaining what is promised by God in His Word). Luke 1:45 AMPC says, “And blessed (happy, to be envied) is she who believed that there would be a fulfillment of the things that were spoken to her from the Lord.”

In between the revelation of God`s will as being revealed in His Word and the manifestation of what is promised, that is, the realization of our expectations promised in His Word, what are we supposed to do as true believers in Christ? The answer is HOLDING FAST OUR CONFESSION OF FAITH as evident in our key scriptural reference taken from Hebrews 10:23, “We MUST CONTINUE to HOLD FIRMLY to OUR DECLARATION of FAITH. The one who made the promise is faithful.” (Hebrews 10:23 Name of God Bible).

Our DECLARATION is our CONFESSION, and your confession in the middle of confusion is the conclusion of your condition! How long should we hold on to our confession of faith? Till we see the manifestation of what is promised to us!

What if some did not believe and were without faith? Does their lack of faith and their faithlessness nullify and make ineffective and void the faithfulness of God and His fidelity [to His Word]? By no means! Let God be found true though every human being is false and a liar, as it is written, That You may be justified and shown to be upright in what You say, and prevail when You are judged [by sinful men]. (Romans 3:3-4 AMPC).

If we are faithless [do not believe and are untrue to Him], He remains true (faithful to His Word and His righteous character), for He cannot deny Himself.” (2 Timothy 2:13 AMPC). Holding fast to our confession is saying the same thing God revealed to us all the time without doubting! HOLDING FAST OUR PROFESSION from revelation to manifestation is where the fight is with the enemy of our soul, who doesn`t want God`s will to be done in our lives, but the good news is that we are never without help from the Lord Jesus, our GREAT HIGH PRIEST!

Hebrews 4:14-16 NKJV says, “Seeing then that we have a great High Priest who has passed through the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast our confession. For we do not have a High Priest who cannot sympathize with our weaknesses, but was in all points tempted as we are, yet without sin. Let us therefore come boldly to the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need.”

Beloved, resist every pressure from the enemy, contrary situations and circumstances, and dare to HOLD YOUR FAST TO YOUR CONFESSION OF FAITH WITHOUT WAVERING (DOUBTING) until you receive the manifestation because the one who promised is faithful to fulfill His Word to you! (Hebrews 10:23). [To be concluded next week].
