“Behold, I send an Angel before you to keep you in the way and to bring you into the place which I have prepared.” – Exodus 23:20 NKJV.

In this week, we will dive deeper into how to practically engage the ministry of angels in our everyday walk with God.

1.  Be Aware: Awareness is the First Key!

The Word of God directs us in Exodus 23:20-21 (NKJV), saying, “Behold, I send an Angel before you to keep you in the way and to bring you into the place which I have prepared. Beware of Him and obey His voice.” Awareness of the angelic ministry is the first key to experiencing Wonders Without Number. Matthew 26:53-54 KJV documents our Lord Jesus’ awareness of the ministry of the angels, but He did not activate their operation so that the Scriptures can be fulfilled! We can see their operation in His life and ministry in Matthew 4:11 and Luke 22:43 Amplified, “Now an angel appeared to Him from heaven, strengthening Him.”

The Scriptures emphasize the importance of being informed, as Proverbs 19:2 (ISV) states: “…it isn’t good to be ignorant.” Ignorance is a thief of destiny, but awareness brings us into alignment with God’s supernatural plans.

2.  Understand Their Ministry: Angels Serve the Heirs of Salvation

As believers, we are called to understand and embrace the purpose of angels in our lives. Hebrews 1:14 (AMPC) makes it clear: “Are not all the angels spirits who serve [God for the assistance] of those who are to inherit salvation?” This understanding equips us to expect angelic help confidently. Good understanding is the key to walking in favor [see Proverbs 13:15].

3.  Speak God’s Word: The Power of Your Words

One critical way to activate the ministry of angels is through our words. The Bible teaches us that “death and life are in the power of the tongue” (Proverbs 18:21). When we speak the right and wholesome words of God—even in times of crisis—we align our lives with heaven’s power. Angels are compelled to act on God’s Word. As Psalm 103:20 says, they are “mighty ones who do His bidding, who obey His word.” God`s words are right words and they are forcible [Job 6:25].

4. Be Led by the Spirit: Follow God’s Guidance

To maximize angelic ministry, we must be led by the Spirit of God. In Acts 8:26-40 (NKJV), we see a powerful example of this. Philip, led by an angel and later by the Spirit, was guided to minister to the Ethiopian Eunuch. This divine encounter not only led to the Eunuch’s salvation but also exemplified the cooperation between the Holy Spirit and angelic ministry.

When we follow the Spirit’s leading, we align ourselves with God’s perfect will. The angels work in unity with the Holy Spirit, helping us fulfill divine assignments and bringing about wonders that would otherwise be impossible.

5. Expect Angelic Intervention: Set Your Heart on Wonders Without Number

Expectation is the breeding ground for miracles. Proverbs 23:17-18 reminds us that the “expectation of the righteous will not be cut off.” When we expect angelic intervention as part of our redemption package, we open the door for God’s wonders to manifest. Expectation keeps our faith alive, fueling our belief that God’s mighty works are ready to unfold in our lives.

Hebrews 1:14 affirms that angels are sent to help those who inherit salvation. When we live with expectancy, we set the stage for the supernatural to become natural in our lives.

Personal Testimony: Experiencing Divine Provision Through Angelic Ministry

Let me share a practical testimony of how God fulfilled Exodus 23:20 in my life. Sixteen years ago, when we relocated to the United States and later moved to the city of Philadelphia in Pennsylvania, we encountered significant challenges, especially with finding a place to live. Due to our lack of credit history, securing housing seemed impossible by natural means.

But God led us to an apartment owned by a Christian man who didn’t require a credit check. He only wanted “Good Christians” who could take diligent care of the property. Not only did we get the apartment, but we also received God’s favor, reducing our rent monthly. Remarkably, we even lived there rent-free for nearly four years after the apartment was sold to a new owner. This testimony is not merely about housing—it is a tangible example of angelic ministry at work, as God sent His angel ahead to “prepare the place” for us, just as He promised in Exodus 23:20.
