“And we all, who with unveiled faces contemplate the Lord’s glory, are being transformed into his image with ever-increasing glory, which comes from the Lord, who is the Spirit.” – 2 Corinthians 3:18 New International Version.

“And we all, with unveiled face, continually seeing as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are progressively being transformed into His image from [one degree of] glory to [even more] glory, which comes from the Lord, [who is] the Spirit.” – 2 Corinthians 3:18 Amplified Bible.

Once upon a time in the quaint village of Nostalgia, there lived a grumpy old man named Ebenezer. Ebenezer was known far and wide for his constant complaints about how everything was better in the “good old days.”

Every morning, as he sat on his creaky porch rocking chair, he would regale anyone who passed by with tales of how the apples were juicier, the skies bluer, and the cows mooed more melodiously back in his youth. His favorite phrase was, “Back in my day, things were just better!”

One day, a mischievous young girl named Lily decided she’d had enough of Ebenezer’s endless ramblings. Armed with her quick wit and a mischievous grin, she approached him. “Good morning, Mr. Ebenezer!” she chirped. “Hmph! What’s so good about it, young lady?” Ebenezer grumbled. “Well, I was just thinking about what you always say about the good old days,” Lily replied innocently. “You know, the days when you had to walk to school uphill both ways in the snow.” Ebenezer nodded eagerly, already lost in his own memories.

Lily continued, “Well, I was thinking… if things were really so much better back then, why don’t we go back to living like that?” Ebenezer’s eyes widened in horror. “What do you mean?” he spluttered. “I mean, no more cars! We’ll have to walk everywhere! And no more smartphones or computers. We’ll have to communicate by carrier pigeon or smoke signals!” Lily exclaimed, her eyes dancing with mischief.

Ebenezer’s face turned pale at the thought of giving up his modern conveniences. Suddenly, the “good old days” didn’t seem so appealing anymore. Lily smiled sweetly at him and quoted, “Do not say, ‘Why were the old days better than these?’ For it is not wise to ask this.” Ebenezer scratched his head, finally understanding the wisdom behind the words. Perhaps instead of dwelling on the past, it was better to appreciate the blessings of the present.

From that day on, Ebenezer still occasionally reminisced about the past, but he also learned to embrace the wonders of the present, thanks to a little girl with a mischievous grin and a knack for wisdom beyond her years. Dont be like Ebenezer that is always thinking about the good old days and living in the past. Be like Lily because your best days are not behind you, your best days are ahead of you! Lilys mindset was renewed by the word of God from Ecclesiastes 7:8&10.

May 2024 is therefore the month of EVER-INCREASING GLORY and by the grace of God and the help of the Holy Spirit, we will be exploring this focus together all through this great month.

It is dangerously to assume the WILL of God, we must ensure it from the Word of God as it is written, “Therefore do not be foolish and thoughtless, but understand and firmly grasp what the will of the Lord is.” [Ephesian 5:17 Amplified Bible]. Faith begins when the will of God is known and EVER-INCREASING GLORY [From Glory to Glory] is God`s will for all His children for the path of the righteous is like the morning sun, shining ever brighter till the full light of day. [Proverbs 4:18 New International Version]. [To be continued next week].
