“97% of the people who quit too soon are employed by the 3% who never gave up on their dreams.” – Elon Musk.

Here is the continuation of this teaching series on doing life big with the DREAM acronym. In this week`s teaching we will highlight the alphabet ‘A’ from the DREAM acronym which stands for Accountability Partnership.

A – Accountability Partnership: Bridging Intention and Reality

“Accountability breeds response-ability.” — Stephen Covey.

Dr. John Maxwell emphasizes, “The greatest way to improve your life is to be accountable to someone. Accountability closes the gap between intention and result.” I have experienced this firsthand. My accountability partnerships have been crucial in transforming my intentions into tangible results.

I have partnerships for daily reading, personal growth, and leadership development, reporting back to my group with each new book. I am also part of an authors’ forum, where we meet monthly to review our progress, encourage each other, and stay focused on our goal of publishing our books. Currently, I am working on my tenth book.

The Power of PEER [Accountability Partnership]: Find an accountability partner or group that will keep you on track and motivated. Sharing your goals with someone who will hold you accountable increases your commitment and helps you stay focused. Together, you can celebrate milestones and navigate setbacks with mutual support and encouragement. Remember, you need a PEER:

•  P – Positive

•  E – Enriching

•  E – Encouraging

•  R – Relationship

Author and Speaker, John Di Lemme said, “Accountability separates the wishers in life from the action-takers that care enough about their future to account for their daily actions.” According to Patrick Lencioni [the author of ‘The Ideal Team Player’ and ‘The Five Dysfunctions of a Team’], the best kind of accountability is peer-to-peer. Peer pressure is more efficient and effective than going to the leader, anonymously complaining, and having them stop what they are doing to intervene. [To be concluded next week].
