“Then the Lord said to Moses, “Quit praying and GET THE PEOPLE MOVING! FORWARD, MARCH!” – Exodus 14:15 Living Bible.
“And David said, “What have I done now? Is there not a cause?” – 1 Samuel 17:29 NKJV.
Running with a Vision, Burning with a Passion, or Going On a Mission!
We concluded last week’s teaching with this powerful reminder:
“You are either running with a vision, burning with passion, or going on a mission!”
You cannot march forward in life without a divine vision that profits humankind and glorifies God, a burning passion to solve humanity’s woes through His help, or a mission that impacts your generation positively and eternally.
Living for a Greater Cause and Purpose
Horace Mann wisely said, “Doing nothing for others is the undoing of ourselves.”
The greatest burden in life is to carry nothing of substance in your heart—a burden that, when shared, improves the well-being of others. Your life is meant for something far greater than personal milestones like graduating, getting married, or acquiring material possessions.
Matthew 6:19-20 NIV says, “Do not store up for yourselves treasures on earth… But store up for yourselves treasures in heaven.”
The Infinite Importance of Truth
Oxford University Professor, author, and theologian C.S. Lewis declared, “Christianity, if false, is of no importance, and if true, of infinite importance. The only thing it cannot be is moderately important.”
There is a divine reason for your life—one that goes beyond transient achievements. As King David declared on the battlefield, he recognized that our existence is driven by a righteous cause. He challenged us with the question, “Is there not a cause?” [1 Samuel 17:29 NKJV]. Ephesians 2:10 NIV says, “For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works…”
Discovering and Pursuing Your Divine Cause
We are all born for a cause greater than ourselves—a cause that is righteous and eternal. True fulfillment in life is tied to discovering, pursuing, and fulfilling that cause. When we align our hearts with God’s eternal purposes, our lives become a testament that glorifies Him. Matthew 6:33 NIV says, “But seek first His kingdom and His righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.” C.S. Lewis said, “That which is not eternal is eternally useless.”
Marching Forward on the Right Track
Your journey is not measured by the fleeting measures of this world but by the eternal impact you have on others. When you run with a divine vision, burn with a passion to help, or go on a mission for a righteous cause, you are marching forward on the right track—a track that leads to a life of eternal significance and glory to God.
Stay focused, keep moving, and let your life be the living testimony of His infinite purpose.
