“The Spirit of God, who raised Jesus from the dead, lives in you. And just as God raised Christ Jesus from the dead, He will give life to your mortal bodies by this same Spirit living within you.” – Romans 8:11 New Living Translation.

A man who was tired of life decided to commit suicide under a mango tree. The son quickly ran to him and said, “Dad, I just won $ 100 million, I promise you that your funeral will be a big celebration.” The dad said to him, “Please untie me quickly and let’s go and celebrate my resurrection.”

This little story reminds us that no matter how deep our despair, the same resurrection power that raised the Lord Jesus from the dead is at work in every believer, turning funerals of defeat into celebrations of new life. 1 Peter 1:3 NIV says, “Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! In His great mercy, He has given us new birth into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead.” Hallelujah, we have a living hope, we have a future!

The resurrection of the Lord Jesus Christ has given us new birth into a living hope, and we can no longer give in to hopelessness in any area of our lives as children of God because that same resurrection power lives in us! [see Romans 8:8 and 11]. Romans 5:5 Common English Bible says, “This hope doesn’t put us to shame, because the love of God has been poured out in our hearts through the Holy Spirit, who has been given to us.”

H.O.P.E. for us believers in the risen Christ means:

H = Heaven’s guarantee is greater than Earth’s grief. [see 1 Thess. 4:13 AMP; Heb. 12:2].

O = Overflowing joy follows obedience to His voice. [see 1 Peter 1:8; Acts 8:8].

P = Power within outranks the pressure without. [1 John 4:4; 1 Corinthians 3:16].

E = Eternal perspective turns endings into new beginnings. [2 Cor. 4:18; 5:7].

THE RESURRECTION POWER OF CHRIST NOW LIVES IN YOU!

Hillsong Worship Music Same Power lyrics said:

Same power that conquered the grave lives in me, Lives in me.

Your love that rescued the earth lives in me, Lives in me….

From Despair to Delight

Just as the father in our story thought all was lost, only to discover a reason to celebrate, the Lord Jesus Christ moved from death to life so that we could share in His victory.

A Promise Fulfilled

“For I delivered to you first of all that which I also received: that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, and that He was buried, and that He rose again the third day according to the Scriptures.” [1 Corinthians 15:3‑4 NKJV].

The Power at Work Within Us

“The Spirit of God, who raised Jesus from the dead, lives in you. And just as God raised Christ Jesus from the dead, He will give life to your mortal bodies by this same Spirit living within you.” [Romans 8:11 NLT].

Our Hope for Restoration

Every “mango‑tree” moment—every season of hopelessness—can become an invitation to witness God’s miracle-working power.

When we feel bound by fear, failure, or frustration, we can trust in the resurrecting Spirit within us to lift us up into new life. Zechariah 4:6 Expanded Bible says, Then he told me, “This is the word of the Lord to Zerubbabel: ‘You will not succeed by your own strength or by your own power [Not by might, nor by power], but by my Spirit,’ says the Lord All-Powerful [Almighty; of Heaven’s Armies; of hosts].”

Restoration isn’t just “someday”—it’s here and now, as Christ’s life pulses through ours.
