“Every God-born person conquers the world’s ways. The conquering power that brings the world to its knees is our faith. The person who wins out over the world’s ways is simply the one who believes Jesus is the Son of God.” – 1 John 5:4-5 Message Bible.

“You Don’t Qualify…”

“We just ran your credit report, and because you have no history, you’re not qualified to rent the apartment—unless you get a cosigner.” Those words hit hard. We had just immigrated to the United States less than two years earlier, eager to move into a bigger apartment.

From a natural perspective, there was no way forward—and the only person I knew refused to co-sign on principle. But giving up wasn’t an option.

Standing on God`s Word: “All Things Are Possible.”

Prompted by the Spirit of God, I turned to Scripture and found three anchor scriptures containing this powerful phrase:

“All things are possible…” — Mark 9:23, Mark 10:27, Matthew 19:26.

I began to meditate on these words until my mindset changed. Faith begins where the will of God is known and ends at manifestation. As 1 Peter 1:9 says, faith has an outcome—and that outcome is victory.

The Overcomer’s Mindset

I recalled a message 20 years ago from one of the great patriarchs of faith and my mentor, Bishop David Oyedepo, titled “The Secret of an Overcoming Life.” He defined OVERCOME as “Going over until you come.” That suggests that there are hurdles but there is a way to go over them until you come to the other side victorious!

He taught four keys to the Overcomer’s Mindset based on 1 Corinthians 10:13 NKJV:

1.  See your challenges as common (ordinary).

2.  See God as faithful.

3.  See yourself as able (Philippians 4:13).

4.  Know there’s always a way out.

Bible Faith always demands a corresponding action to prove that you believe. Faith acts—so we acted. While fear said, “You can’t move forward without credit,” faith declared, “All things are possible!” Faith honors God, and God Honors Faith.

Then came the miracle. A new landlord, a kind white man, told us, “I don’t need your credit history. All I need are good Christians in my apartment.”

We moved in—no cosigner, no credit history—just faith in God’s Word.

Resilient Faith: The Faith That Overcomes The World!

Beloved, BIBLE (RESILIENT) FAITH conquers the world’s ways. The conquering power that brings the world to its knees is our faith. The person who wins out over the world’s ways is simply the one who believes Jesus is the Son of God.” (1 John 5:4-5 Message Bible). Refuse to give up if God has revealed His Word to you about any issue, no matter the opposition; rather, let us firmly hold the profession of our faith without wavering, for He who promised is faithful. (Hebrews 10:23 Modern English Version).
