“Then the Lord said to Moses, “Quit praying and GET THE PEOPLE MOVING! FORWARD, MARCH!” – Exodus 14:15 Living Bible.
“Where there is no vision from God, the people run wild, but those who adhere to God’s instruction know genuine happiness.” – Proverbs 29:18 The Voice.
Vision: The Vital Ingredient for Marching Forward
FORWARD, MARCH—also connoting MARCHING FORWARD—is not a cliché or a catchy phrase but a divine command. However, to truly march forward, we need a vital ingredient that will be the focus of this week’s teaching. That vital force is VISION!
The Power of Vision for a Glorious Future
P.K. Bernard once said, “A man without a vision is a man without a future. A man without a future will always return to his past.” Indeed, no one can step into a great future without a clear vision. Without vision, we are destined to repeat the patterns of our past. We need vision to live a fulfilling life that blesses humanity and brings glory to God. Proverbs 29:18 The Voice says, “Where there is no vision from God, the people run wild, but those who adhere to God’s instruction know genuine happiness.”
Vision: God’s Blueprint for A Glorious Future
Vision is the clear picture of a preferred and magnificent future, revealed by God. It unfolds God’s plan as it relates to each one of us. A true vision from God does not seek convenience—it demands obedience. “So, King Agrippa, I was not disobedient to the heavenly vision.” [Acts 26:19 Amplified Bible]. Author and entrepreneur Jim Rohn reminds us, “A fuzzy future has little pull power.” It is a vivid, God-given vision that magnetically draws us to our glorious future.
The Land of Milk and Honey: A Vision of Abundance
The recurring biblical phrase “land flowing with milk and honey” symbolizes a divine vision of a future marked by abundance, joy, sweetness, and freedom—a stark contrast to the oppression and sorrow of Egypt. God repeated this vision to instill hope and create a powerful pull that would propel His people toward the future He had prepared.
God’s Vision in Times of Trial
Throughout history, God has used vision to spark hope among His people during times of trial, adversity, and captivity. During the Babylonian captivity, God sent Jeremiah with a prophetic message that continues to inspire us today: “For I know the plans and thoughts that I have for you,’ declares the Lord, ‘plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” [Jeremiah 29:11 Amplified Bible].
Discovering and Embracing Your Divine Vision
Beloved, have you discovered God’s vision for your life? If yes, be encouraged to obey and pursue that vision diligently. In doing so, you’ll find fulfillment in this life and an eternal reward in the life to come. If your answer is no, watch out for next week`s teaching, where we will be expounding on discovering and embracing God`s vision for your life. When we yield to the Holy Spirit—our Helper—we enable God’s vision to guide every step we take.
Forward, March becomes a pleasure when we align ourselves with His vision, boldly stepping into the destiny He has ordained for us. [To be continued next week].
