“And Samuel said unto the people, It is the Lord that ADVANCED Moses and Aaron, and that brought your fathers up out of the land of Egypt.” – 1 Samuel 12:6 King James Version.

“But first, be concerned about His Kingdom and what has His approval. Then all these things will be provided for you.” – Matthew 6:33 God`s Word Translation.

THE RADICAL WILL

The Wealthy Man and His Only Son

In a faraway land, there once lived a fabulously wealthy man who owned numerous businesses, acres of land, and a garage full of exotic cars. He had an only son—his crown and joy—and a loyal male servant who had served him faithfully even before the son was born. After the tragic loss of his wife, this man chose never to remarry and devoted himself entirely to raising his son.

A Surprising Will

Time passed, and the wealthy man eventually died, leaving behind a sealed will in a bank vault. When the lawyer convened the family to read the will, everyone gathered with high hopes, after all, this man’s fortune was immense. Naturally, they assumed his only son would inherit it all. But the lawyer’s reading of the will shocked everyone: “My son, Tom, is only allowed to pick one thing from all that I left behind. The rest should be given to my servant.”

The pandemonium broke loose. The son fainted from shock, and the servant erupted in celebration. If the son could only pick one item, that meant everything else belonged to the servant. For him, it was a dream come true!

The Son’s Dilemma

After he was resuscitated, the stunned son wrestled with confusion and despair. Why would his beloved father do something so radical? Two days passed, and he still couldn’t find a satisfactory answer to the puzzle. With just five days remaining to make a choice, he sought counsel from his late father’s closest friends. Their advice calmed him, and he waited patiently for the day he would announce his decision.

The Game-Changing Choice

At last, the deadline arrived. The servant showed up in a grand convoy, eagerly prepared to take possession of his newfound fortune. Everyone waited with bated breath to hear the son’s choice.

“I choose the elderly servant,” the son declared. A hush fell over the room. The drumbeats and music from the servant’s convoy stopped abruptly.

By choosing the servant—who, according to the will, owned everything—the son had effectively secured all that belonged to his father. Realizing this, the servant was both stunned and humbled, for he now belonged to the son completely, along with all the father’s property.

The Father’s Message to Us

Beloved, this story parallels our relationship with our Heavenly Father. Just as the wealthy father’s “radical will” seemed puzzling, God also calls us to make a radical choice: “So don’t worry about these things—saying, ‘What will we eat? What will we drink? What will we wear?’ These things dominate the thoughts of unbelievers, but your heavenly Father already knows all your needs. Seek the Kingdom of God above all else, and live righteously, and He will give you everything you need.” (Matthew 6:31-33 NLT).

When we choose to pursue God’s Kingdom first—like the son who chose the servant—we gain everything else in the process.

Priority for Living: Kingdom Advancement

God’s will for us this year is HIGHER GROUNDS VIA SUPERNATURAL ADVANCEMENT, so we can be His ambassadors in bringing lost souls into His Kingdom. If you truly seek His Kingdom above all else—if you choose God’s interests over your own—He promises to supply every need.

“…the moment when we will be saved is closer now than it was when we first believed.” (Romans 13:11 GNT).

The time to wake up is now. Make Kingdom Advancement your top priority and watch how the Lord takes you to higher grounds in every area of your life. To be continued next week…
