“The fruit of the [uncompromisingly] righteous is a tree of life, and he who is wise captures human lives [for God, as a fisher of men—he gathers and receives them for eternity].” – Proverbs 11:30 Amplified Bible, Classic Edition.

The Eternal Perspective: What Truly Matters

“All that is not eternal is eternally useless.” – C.S. Lewis.

C.S. Lewis’s profound statement reminds us that everything that is not eternal is worthless in the light of eternity. Money, worldly pleasures, and temporary gains are fleeting; they will all fade away. In contrast, the pursuit of eternal things, especially the salvation of souls, is the only pursuit worth our time and energy. Chasing after the temporal is not walking in divine wisdom. True wisdom is being conscious of eternity and prioritizing what lasts forever—souls over fleeting pleasures.

“Walk in wisdom toward outsiders, making the best use of the time.” – Colossians 4:5 (ESV).

Walking in divine wisdom means recognizing that our time on earth is limited, but our purpose is eternal. As ambassadors of Christ, we have a divine mandate to turn many to righteousness. God desires for all people to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth (1 Timothy 2:4). Eternal life is not just for us; it is a gift for the entire world, and it is our responsibility to share it. [John 3:16]

Our Purpose: Living for Christ, Not Ourselves

We were saved not for ourselves, but for the One who gave His life for us. The ultimate price was paid for our salvation, and now we are called to live for Christ, spreading His love and reconciling the world to Him (2 Corinthians 5:15). This is the wisdom of God: living with an eternal purpose that transcends personal gain and focuses on advancing God’s kingdom.

The Four Kinds of Wisdom: Understanding the Source of True Wisdom

In James 3:14-17, we are introduced to four kinds of wisdom:

1.  Earthly or Natural Wisdom – Simple common sense.

2.  Sensual or Intellectual Wisdom – Knowledge gained through education.

3.  Devilish or Occultic Wisdom – Corrupted wisdom, tainted by evil.

4.  Divine or Godly Wisdom – The wisdom that comes from God.

To win the world to Christ, we must rely on Divine Wisdom, the only wisdom that is above all corruption and manipulation. Divine Wisdom is rooted in God’s Word, and it is the wisdom that brings salvation. God’s Word is God’s Wisdom. [Luke 11:49].

The Wisdom of Kindness: Winning Souls Through Love

“Do you show contempt for the riches of His kindness, forbearance, and patience, not realizing that God’s kindness is intended to lead you to repentance?” – Romans 2:4 (NIV).

The Power of Kindness

It is not hatred or cruelty that leads people to repentance; it is kindness. The world needs to see the kindness of God in us—His firm believers. In Colossians 4:5 ESV, we are called to walk in wisdom toward outsiders, making the best use of our time. This wisdom is rooted in kindness, and it is through kindness that we will draw the world to Christ.

Walking in Divine Wisdom for Eternal Impact

Are you ready to walk in divine wisdom and show the world the kindness of God? The time is now—our world needs to see believers who are intentional, kind, and wise, leading others to Christ. Divine wisdom is the key to fulfilling our mandate to turn many to righteousness, and it is through wisdom that we will fulfill our eternal purpose. As we continue this journey, remember that wisdom is not just for personal growth; it is for the salvation of the lost. [To be continued].
